June Stewart

June is a RYT 500, Certified Baptiste Teacher. She was introduced to yoga by her dance teacher in 2002, who she trained in healing yoga and dance for many years. She was pursuing her career as a PR manager until she found Baron Baptiste’s Power Vinyasa Yoga in 2008. Through Baptiste yoga, June experienced a huge breakthrough and transformation in many areas of her life and began a new life as a full-time yoga teacher in 2008. She completed Level 1, 2, and several Baptiste trainings through 2008 to 2015 and became a 200 hour certified Baptiste Teacher in 2016. It was in 2014; June moved to Savannah and met Shelley Lowther, who is a senior Baptiste teacher, her mentor, and a good friend. With her, June completed another 200 hour training, and a 500 hour certification program. June is a senior teacher at Dancing Dogs Yoga and a faculty of the teacher training team. She embodies the qualities of masterful Baptiste Yoga to her powerful, light, challenging and fun classes.

A native of Seoul, Korea, she coordinated and managed numerous international yoga events in Korea. June served as the main translator for these projects and translated David Swenson’s book Ashtanga Yoga, Practice Manual from English to Korean.
