Become a certified yoga teacher in this Yoga Alliance Approved RYT-200® yoga teacher training program. As a 200 Hour and 300 Hour Yoga Alliance approved school,  DDY offers world class training in a supportive learning environment.  This yoga teacher training will give you the tools, confidence and skill to teach a safe, effective, informed and inspiring vinyasa yoga class.  

Whether or not you want to teach yoga, this yoga teacher training will be oa life changing experiences. Yoga is an outward expression of an inward change, and you will get the community, the support, and the knowledge you need to deepen your practice, share yoga with others, and discover your best self. We offer Yoga Teacher Training at Dancing Dogs Yoga Atlanta, Indigo Yoga in Locust Grove, Victory Power Yoga in Clayton, NC, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and in the Dominican Republic. More Information about our Teacher Training

As a graduate of the Dancing Dogs Yoga teacher training program (YTT) you will feel empowered and ready to teach an amazing yoga class. In this yoga teacher training, you will learn the physical aspects of yoga, including anatomy, alignment, sequencing, and asana, or posture. You will also dive deep into philosophy, history and study the energetic and spiritual implications of yoga.

Led by Shelley Carroll and other DDY Senior Teachers, this program is appropriate for practitioners of every level.  This is a physically, mentally and emotionally challenging training that is a must for anyone wanting to share the practice of yoga, as well as those who wish to deepen their own understanding of the practice.

The DDY yoga teacher training is designed to prepare you to be a confident, connected, and inspiring yoga teacher. Each session covers a different unit of study and includes asana (classes and workshops), lecture, group discussion, and small-group exercises, including mala making, cacao ceremonies, and more!

The aim of this training is to create exceptional teachers and leaders. You will graduate from this training prepared to teach, and to stand in front of a room of people and lead. At DDY, we believe that the best yoga teachers are those who connect with their students, and who speak authentically and from the heart. We aspire to inspire you to find your voice, and to share it powerfully.

DDY has a strict attendance policy and attendance is required at all Teacher Training sessions. Every group class that is missed must be made up in the studio within 14 calendar days. When possible, sessions and workshops can be made up in our online format. When those options are not available, you can book private makeup sessions. For every 1-4 hours missed you will need to schedule a one hour private, at a rate of $150. For every 4-8 hours missed, you will need to schedule a 2 hour private, at a rate of $250.  Workshops can be made up at other locations when available. We're happy to work with you on this to ensure that you can get all of the information that is missed. The maximum amount of days missed can be no more than 2 days without prior approval. We will work with you for any unforeseen circumstances, but no refunds are available in case of chronic absences.

Dancing Dogs Yoga is an accredited Yoga Alliance Teacher Training School. Students who successfully complete our training can register with Yoga Alliance as either a 200-hour or 300-hour certified teacher.

Accreditation + Financial Assistance

  • Yoga Alliance

    Dancing Dogs Yoga is a Yoga Alliance accredited yoga teacher training school.

    Dancing Dogs Yoga is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance at the 200 and 300 Hour levels.  We have been teaching powerful and transformational  teacher training programs since 2012.

    We offer both RYT-200 and RYT-500 designations.  Students who successfully complete our programs are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance.  

  • MyCAA Military Assistance

    Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts Program (MyCAA) school and participants may be eligible for up to $4000 in tuition support through the MyCAA program. MyCAA helps military spouses pursue licenses, certificates, certifications or Associate's Degrees (excluding Associate's Degrees in General Studies, Liberal Arts, and Interdisciplinary Studies that do not have a concentration) necessary for gainful employment in high demand, high growth Portable Career Fields and Occupations.   • BIPOC Yoga Scholarship

    DDY is committed to amplifying black and brown voices in the yoga space, and we have created a new BIPOC Yoga scholarship.

    We promise to give a minimum of five $500-1000 scholarships every calendar year to help a BIPOC student attend one of our yoga teacher trainings.

    All BIPOC students are eligible to apply, regardless of whether they practice at DDY. Applications are awarded on a rolling basis.

  • Queer Yoga Scholarship

    At DDY y’all means all and we are committed to amplifying queer voices in the yoga space. In order to make this possible, we have created a Queer Yoga scholarship.
