An Introduction to Somatic Emotional Processing
with Maha Taylor
Do you ever feel like you’re carrying emotions in your body that you haven’t fully processed?
Do you tend to overthink your feelings—or feel numb, frozen, or disconnected from them?
This workshop is an invitation to slow down, tune in, and connect with your emotions in a new way.
Our emotions aren’t the enemy—they’re messengers. When we learn how to listen, validate, and respond to what each one is asking for, we begin to build a more peaceful, trusting relationship with ourselves.
In this 2-hour experience, you’ll:
Reframe your understanding of the seven core emotions
Explore gentle movements and somatic touch to help emotions move through the body
Practice nurturing internal dialogue to meet your emotional needs with compassion
You'll also be introduced to techniques from:
Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, EMDR-inspired bilateral stimulation, the Havening Technique, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and Emotional Liberation.
We'll also incorporate guided meditation, breathwork, and nervous system regulation practices throughout.
This workshop is a gentle introduction to Maha’s upcoming 6-week series: Somatic Emotional Processing – Level 1, beginning July 15th.
