This is a 2-day training for yoga teachers to learn to create genuinely safer spaces for trauma survivors.
Grounded in David Emerson and Elizabeth Hopper's evidence-based Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga protocol and Stephanie Foo's landmark C-PTSD memoir What My Bones Know, the training bridges clinical neuroscience with lived experience.
Teachers explore the polyvagal nervous system, invitational language, consent-based touch, and trauma-sensitive sequencing. Learning to recognize activation, honor the window of tolerance, and hold space without overstepping therapeutic boundaries. Designed for the 300-hour level, this module asks teachers to go beyond technique and consider the full humanity of every student who steps onto the mat.
