Intro to The Bhagavad Gita: Song of the Lord Krishna

Embark on an epic exploration of the Bhagavad Gita, where duty, righteousness, and spirituality converge. Uncover the timeless lessons of this sacred text and their relevance to contemporary life.

Imagine this: You are facing a dilemma, and while hanging out with your bestie, they reveal that they are the incarnation of God(higher power-choose your own definition).

You have questions! What are they?

We will delve into the mystery of life, responsibility, actions, consequences. We will discuss the historical context of TBG, and work to see how it is relevant today. This is about connecting the past to present, uncovering the timeless concepts that plague humanity.

This introduction to the Gita will engage participants in a non-theological discussion of the universe and our place in it. In story-mapping the text, we can view the characters as separate from and at the same time representing us, the roles we play, concepts of identity and our place in the cosmic, magical universe. We will engage in meditation and large-group discussion.

Laura will challenge you to look for instances of the teachings in our modern day activities.

Get ready to look inside the cover of the book, the book as a text, the book as you.

THIS INTRO IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED FOR ANYONE ENROLLING IN THE BHAGAVAD GITA ZOOM SERIES.
