Make Your Own Mala : Carry The Light

  • Dancing Dogs Yoga 26 Waddell ST NE atlanta, GA 30307 United States (map)

108 beads. One intention. Made by your own hands.

A mala is more than jewelry. It's a prayer you can hold. For centuries, these strands of 108 beads have been used to count mantras, steady the mind, and carry an intention close to the heart. Each bead is a breath. Each breath is a return to what matters.

Spend a long, unhurried solstice afternoon with Shelley Carroll and Rachel Craig, our Reiki Master and teacher at DDY, making your own.

What to expect

  • Choose your stones and beads with intention, guided by what each one carries

  • Learn the meaning behind the 108 beads, the guru bead and the tassel

  • Make your own full 108-bead mala by hand, start to finish

  • Close with a mantra practice and a Reiki blessing, so your mala leaves the room already charged with purpose

A gift that means something

Make one for yourself, or make one for someone you love. In a season full of things, this is a gift with a story, made by your hands, on the solstice.
